A Redundancy ORing Diode Module is used to decouple two DC power supplies to ensure uninterrupted load power in the event of a failure of either supply. In high-reliability control systems, redundant supplies are connected in parallel but electrically isolated to prevent a fault or voltage drop in one supply from affecting the other. This diode-based decoupling ensures continuous operation, maintaining system uptime and enhancing overall reliability.The module uses ORing diodes to isolate the outputs of the two power supplies. During normal operation, both supplies may share load current according to their output characteristics. If one supply fails or its voltage falls below the acceptable threshold, the ORing diode instantly blocks reverse current and disconnects the unhealthy supply. The healthy supply continues to power the load without interruption, ensuring a stable and reliable DC bus. ORing diodes also allow automatic disconnection of a supply that cannot maintain sufficient output voltage, thus protecting the system from disturbance.Beyond passive diode isolation, the module incorporates active monitoring of both input power sources. Each input is continuously checked for undervoltage or failure, and any abnormal condition is indicated through a potential-free relay changeover contact. This status signal can be used for alarms, PLC/SCADA inputs, or system diagnostics, providing clear and immediate information on the health of each supply. The relay indication reflects the failure or absence of either or both inputs, allowing timely fault response.The ORing Diode Modules are maintenance-free, robust, and costeffective, providing high availability for DC control and instrumentation systems. MFR-10 is the micro-controller based multi-channel Fuse Failure Monitoring instrument which is used for various industrial applications.

The instruments are offered in a highly compact, rugged and reliable execution.

These compact Din rail mount instruments are designed to indicate the failure of a Fuse (Fuse blown condition) in power lines. Most panels have multiple fuses in power lines at various locations. This instrument is used to indicate the fuse blown condition at any location. MFR-10 is the ten-channel Fuse Failure Relay.

The instrument provides LED indications of each fuse status on the front panel. The fuse failure relay also provides two potential free Relay contact for alarm purposes. An external lamp indication or Hooter can be connected to the Relay contact for remote annunciation purposes.

The instrument is available in DIN Rail enclosure and operated on 24V DC power supply.

Further, the instrument is manufactured using selected high-grade components which guarantee it’s functionality and long operational life. The instrument carries a performance guarantee against manufacturing defects and workmanship defects

The Fan Status Monitor and Indicator is an instrument used to sense thefunctional status of all the Fans mounted within the Rack. The Rack canhave up to eight DC or AC Fans for exhaust or cooling, mounted on the rearor upper section of the panel. The instrument provides the Operator aninstant audio (external Hooter) and visual (LED) feedback regarding thestatus of all the Fans wired to the instrument.The Control Module, will be inter-connected to the Fans on the rear of theRack. The Fans will need to be powered externally from a power source, asspecified.The Control Module is a microcontroller based electronic device whichmonitors the movement of the Fans in the rack. If a fault is detected in any ofthe Fans owing to blocked-rotor condition or fan failure, an internal Relaywill change-over immediately, providing potential-free contacts on theterminals of the instrument. These potential-free contacts can be wiredindividually, or in tandem with the contacts of all the Racks within thecontrol room to provide an audible Alarm Hooter, which will caution theoperator that one of the Fans within the Rack is faulty or non-functional.The LED Strip will have eight bi-polar LEDs on the front panel which willindicate the live status of the Fans along with UNDER and OVER voltageIndication mounted within the Rack. If the fan is running normally, it's LEDwill indicate Green colour on the front panel LED strip. Similarly, any fault inthe fan causing a rotor block will show the corresponding LED to be Red incolour.The instrument can monitor up to eight Fans. However, it can also beconfigured for a smaller number of Fans (less than eight) by a simple DIPswitch configuration. The Control Module operates on AC or DC powersupply as the case may be, and provides the power to the LED Strip on thefront panel. The Control Module is DIN rail mounted.
